Watersafe Meets the Lecturers

Later this month the WaterSafe Installers’ Scheme will be exhibiting at the renowned HIP! Meet the Lecturers events, spanning three months and covering all regions of the UK.

Organised by the publishers of HIP! Magazine, the HIP! Essential Book and Education & Training Monthly, the events will run from February 18 to April 14.

Organiser and magazine editor, Celia Matthews, said: "Last year saw the launch of the HIP! CPD Day specifically geared towards lecturers.
It's an invaluable opportunity for lecturers to get a CPD certificate by meeting manufacturers plus a great chance to network with lecturers from other colleges.
They can also look forward to a free lunch, goody bags and special discounts on products at this fantastic event which is only held once a year."

With more than seventy lecturers expected to attend the six CPD-accredited events, WaterSafe will be highlighting the benefits of membership to lecturers from training centres across the UK which deliver plumbing and plumbing courses recognised by the scheme.

As well as lecturers, each event will be attended by leading manufacturers within the plumbing and heating industry.

Also taking place across the six-day schedule are the regional heats for the HIP! National Apprentice of the Year 2015. Last year, for the first time in its history, a regional heat was won by a female trainee, Hayley Fenix, who was featured in the WaterSafe Get Girls Plumbing campaign.

The events will take place as follows:

18th Feb - Burnley College
20th Feb – New College Durham
26th Feb – Weston College
10th March – Prospects College of Advanced Technology
24th March – Stephenson College
14th April – Bridgend College
