UK plumbing register WaterSafe is holding a free live webinar on Thursday 28 May to help homeowners and businesses in Wales reduce the risk of plumbing problems during Covid-19.
While plumbers are allowed to work in people’s homes as long as they comply with Government guidelines on social distancing, many are choosing to prioritise essential work only to reduce the risk of infection.
WaterSafe is encouraging property-owners to sign up to the live one-hour webinar and submit their questions in advance for the opportunity to pick an approved plumber’s brains about their plumbing problems.
The webinar will feature WaterSafe plumber Paul Williams, WaterSafe and Welsh Water as well as practical ‘how-to‘ film clips. Topics will include:
The team will also talk about the importance of using compliant fixtures and fittings, and how these help to keep drinking water safe.
Julie Spinks, director of WaterSafe said: “Our WaterSafe plumbers are full of great tips on how to keep your plumbing in good shape and prevent avoidable call-outs during this uncertain time and what to do if you already have a plumbing problem.
“Keeping customers safe is a top priority for WaterSafe plumbers, who are trained in the strict regulations that keep the UK’s drinking water fresh and healthy at the tap.
“From dealing with leaks and preventing blockages, to learning how to turn your water off in an emergency, reserve your place on our webinar today to protect your plumbing.”
