“We are now entering the 11th year of the WaterSafe scheme.
“Our purpose remains to promote qualified, approved contractors to help water companies protect drinking water quality and reassure customers about the competence of their chosen contractors.
“Our nearly-8,000 members are the reason for our continued success, and I thank them for their dedication to improving plumbing standards and being part of WaterSafe.
“As was the case when the scheme began in 2013, its strength is that it covers the whole of the UK, providing a single register for qualified and approved water contractors.
Chair of WaterSafe, Ceri Jones
“Over the coming year, I look forward to working even more closely with our six member schemes, water companies, Water Regs UK and water sector regulators, as well as Water UK, the trade association for the water industry.
“Together, we can promote the benefits of WaterSafe and increase membership numbers.
“While most of our members will continue to be plumbers and plumbing companies, we welcomed Reduced Pressure Valve testers into the scheme in 2023 and have recently welcomed catering and point of use (water cooler) installers too.”
