At what temperature do pipes freeze?

Pipes are most at risk of freezing when temperatures fall below 0°C, particularly if they're located in unheated areas such as lofts, garages or outside walls. Prolonged periods of freezing weather increase the likelihood of frozen pipework, making it especially important that you insulate your water pipes.
